Our Mission Statement is to encourage academic excellence and entrepreneurial initiatives that have community service as their ultimate objective.
The Herbert and Audrey Rosenfield Fund is a beneficiary program designed to encourage and nurture academic and entrepreneurial excellence through education. Established to honor the Rosenfields and continue their years of service to their community, the Fund helps students and educational institutions, here in the US and also in Switzerland.
To achieve this mission, the The Rosenfield Fund works with educational institutions and entrepreneurial incubators that focus on tackling socially compelling topics. The main activities include support for scholarships and prizes for technological innovation.
The geographic focus of the foundation is Lower Manhattan, New York City, USA and in Lausanne, Switzerland and with institutions of higher learning and innovation which connect with Fund activities in those cities.
Herbert and Audrey's children, Patricia, Thomas, and Nelson, serve as the Fund Trustees and are committed to maintaining the founders' vision.
The Rosenfield Fund currently supports activities at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), City University through the BMCC Foundation, New York, New York, USA and the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) through the EPFL Foundation Innovation Park, Lausanne, Switzerland.
